When you make a train reservation or check PNR status through Rodeo Travel Technologies Private Limited (“Railofy”) platform, the said terms and conditions shall apply with regard to the Offer laid hereunder.
Travel Guarantee for WL tickets
What do you get?
- ‘Travel Guarantee’ is a service to help train travellers with a warranty against a waitlisted ticket. Users may be eligible for ‘Cashback’ as liquidated damages incase the waitlisted ticket doesn’t get confirmed or RAC.
- While booking a waitlisted train ticket or checking PNR status on the Railofy website/app, you can opt for ‘Travel Guarantee’.
- If this booked ticket status remains fully waitlist, i.e. all passenger’s ticket status remains waitlist, after chart preparation, the user will be provided a ‘Cashback’ bearing amount as mentioned at the time of purchasing the ‘Travel Guarantee’.
How can you use the ‘Cashback’?
- A link to claim ‘Cashback’ will be shared with users via WhatsApp once the train departs.
- ‘Cashback’ can only be used to book any alternate mode of transport viz. flight, bus, taxi, car rental or train..
- If the fare of the selected mode of transport is higher than the ‘Cashback’ amount, then the user has to pay the balance amount at the time of booking alternate mode of transport.
- ‘Cashback’ will be applied on the ticket fare only and would exclude convenience fees, PG charges and other add-on charges (if any).
- ‘Cashback’ amount shall be deposited in your account within 10 working days, after Railofy has approved the ‘Cashback’ request as per the T&C.
What are the terms and Conditions of ‘Cashback’?
- ‘Cashback’ is the amount of liquidated damages that will be applicable only to tickets which remain in full waitlist status after chart preparation.
- The ‘Cashback’ will expire within seven (7) days of issuance by Railofy.
- The ‘Cashback’ is valid only for travel completed within seven (7) days of train’s departure date.
- The ‘Cashback’ can be used only once and for one-way trip bookings.
- A ‘Cashback’ cannot be used to book multiple modes of transport.
- The ‘Cashback’ can be claimed only for one-way trip bookings.
- Partially utilised ‘Cashback’ cannot be re-used on any other booking.
- One can avail a maximum total ‘Cashback’ of INR 20,000 (Rupees Twenty Thousand Only).
- Number of passengers in alternate mode of transport (flight, bus, taxi, car rental or train) should be equal to the number of passengers in the train ticket in which 'Travel Guarantee’ was opted
- The departure city and the destination city of the alternate mode of transport (flight, bus, taxi, car rental or train) should be within 200 kms range of the stations for which the train ticket in which 'Travel Guarantee’ was opted
- Illustration: A makes a booking of a train ticket from Gurgaon to Jaipur and the said ticket did not get confirmed or did not get RAC. Railofy pursuant to this Offer issued ‘Cashback’ link in A’s favour. Now, A wishes to book a flight ticket and claim ‘Cashback’. A can book a flight ticket from Delhi to Jaipur. A cannot book an alternate flight ticket from Mumbai to Goa (as Mumbai is not within a 200 kms range of Gurgaon and Goa is not within a 200 kms range of Jaipur).
- This Offer cannot be clubbed with any other offer of Railofy.
- Railofy shall not be responsible for the availability of the alternate mode of transport. In the event you wish to avail the amount received under the Offer for making a booking for an alternate mode of transport for your travel and the same is not available for the time, date and place of your choice, Railofy shall not be held responsible for the same.
- Illustration: A makes a booking of a train ticket from Mumbai to Pune and the said ticket did not get confirmed or did not get RAC. Railofy pursuant to this Offer issued ‘Cashback’ link in A’s favour. Now, A wishes to make another booking for the alternate mode of transport i.e. bus/ flight/train/taxi/car rental and there is no availability for these modes. Railofy shall not be held responsible for the same.
- In no event the ‘Cashback’ can be refunded, exchanged or partly encashed.
- Railofy reserves the right to deny accepting any ‘Cashback’ request on account of duplicity. Railofy shall not be held responsible in this regard.
What happens if I cancel my train ticket?
- In case a user cancels their train ticket (on which ‘Travel Guarantee’ was purchased), then the user shall not be eligible for the ‘Cashback’. Further, charges pertaining to ‘Travel Guarantee’ fee will be non-refundable.
- 'Travel Guarantee’ fee is refundable only in the event the train (in which 'Travel Guarantee’ was opted) is cancelled or diverted by Indian Railways. In that event users will not be eligible for ‘Cashback’, however the 'Travel Guarantee’ fee will be refunded exclusive of Railofy Service Fee, Convenience Fee and Payment Gateway Charges.
- Train chart preparation and train departure time is controlled by Indian Railways.
What else do you need to know?
- ‘This Offer is valid only on tickets which are in the waitlisted category.
- This Offer is valid on selected trains/class booked through Railofy platform.
- ‘Travel Guarantee’ is a paid feature, and an opt-in fee will be charged for availing it.
- Fee amount paid for availing the ‘Travel Guarantee’ offer may change, from time to time and even before the final payment depending upon the ticket fare or availability of the ticket.
- 'Travel Guarantee’ fee amount will be applicable on full ticket and for all passengers booked on the PNR and it will be the same for all passengers irrespective of age and gender.
- ‘Cashback’ will be applicable only to tickets which remain in full waitlist status after chart preparation.
- If the ticket is cancelled by the user, the ‘Travel Guarantee’ fee will not be refunded.
- In case of bulk booking, if some of the passengers have been confirmed or RAC, then the ‘Travel Guarantee’ fee will be refunded, but you shall not be eligible for the ‘Cashback’.
- In case of bulk booking, if some of the passengers have cancelled and not all, you shall be eligible for the ‘Cashback’ only for the passengers which have not been cancelled and remained waitlisted.
- Illustration: A makes a booking of 1 PNR for 5 passengers for Delhi to Jaipur. A books the tickets under the ‘Travel Guarantee’ offer upon paying the 'Travel Guarantee’ fee for all the 5 passengers. The passengers are in waitlisted category. Before train chart preparation, 3 of these passengers cancelled their tickets. Now, A can only seek the ‘Cashback’ amount for the remaining 2 tickets, which were not cancelled.
General Terms and Conditions
- Railofy does not provide any mechanism or guarantee for getting tickets confirmed and ‘Travel Guarantee’ is a warranty service provided to assist waitlisted or RAC train travellers complete their journey.
- Railofy shall not be responsible for any delay, improper services provided by the provider of services (airline, bus operators, taxi, car rental, Indian Railways or any other relevant service providers) for any injury, death, loss or damage caused by the act or default of the management or employees of the provider.
- Railofy does not accept responsibility for losses and additional expenses, due to delays or changes in air, train, bus, taxi, car rental or other services, missed connections, sicknesses, weather, strikes, quarantine or other causes, howsoever caused, and all such losses and expenses caused must be borne by the customer.
- Any date change may incur an additional charge and the same shall be applicable on the basis of the new date selected by the customer as per the service providers (airline, bus operators, taxi, car rental, Indian Railways or any other relevant service providers) policy.
- Railofy reserves the right, at any time, without prior notice and liability and without assigning any reason whatsoever, to add/alter/modify/change/withdraw or vary all of these terms and conditions or to replace, wholly or in part, this Offer by another offer, whether similar to this Offer or not, or to extend or withdraw it altogether.
- If the payment towards the booking is made through CC/ DC, the customer shall approach the Bank for any claims related thereof and Railofy shall not entertain any such claims.
- Railofy is the sole authority for interpretation of these Terms and Conditions.
- Railofy shall not be liable for any loss or damage arising due to force majeure event.
- Railofy shall not be liable for any indirect, punitive, special, incidental or consequential damages arising out of or in connection with the Offer. Notwithstanding anything contrary contained hereunder, in no event the aggregate liability of Railofy under this offer shall exceed the amount of ‘Cashback’ amount availed by the customer under this Offer.
- Railofy may suspend or terminate these terms and conditions/ Offer at any time for any reason at their discretion.
- By participating in this Offer, the Customer gives Railofy permission to use the customer's name, image and any other details or information available on the customer’s social media profiles, in any manner, to promote the Offer or Railofy brand name or services.
- In the event of any misuse or abuse of the Offer by the customer or travel agent, Railofy reserves the right to deny the Offer and/or cancel the booking.
- All disputes arising out of or in connection to this Offer are subject to exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai only.

What do you get?
- ‘Travel Guarantee Plus’ is a service to help train travellers with a warranty against a RAC ticket. Users may be eligible for ‘Cashback’ as liquidated damages incase the RAC ticket doesn’t get confirmed.
- While booking a RAC train ticket or checking PNR status on the Railofy website/app, you can opt for ‘Travel Guarantee Plus’.
- If this booked ticket status remains fully RAC, i.e. all passenger’s ticket status remains RAC, after chart preparation, the user will be provided a ‘Cashback’ bearing amount as mentioned at the time of purchasing the ‘Travel Guarantee Plus’.
